Winter Skin Savers

Ski vacations are great; though going out unprepared can wreak havoc on your skin. Follow this regimen and your skin will look amazing after a day on the slopes.

  1. In the morning - Use a very gentle face wash. Next, apply a few drops of almond or flax seed oil on your face, followed by a rich moisturizer. Cover with an SPF 30 sun block. Finally, apply a thin layer of Vaseline. You heard me right; this will keep even the strongest wind gusts from causing any windburn.
  2. Stay away from foaming washes - The foaming detergents (sulfates) strip your skin of much needed moisture.
  3. Don't just apply your eye cream under the eye - Apply it as a large circle, extending to your cheekbone and temple. I call it the eye cream "sunglasses."
